About Evija Laiviņa

Evija Laivina was born in 1978 in Latvia. She started to explore photography in 2007. In the summer of 2009, Laivina arrived in Scotland. In 2019 she graduated from the University of Highlands and Islands where she received BA Hons in Contemporary Art and Contextualised Practice.
In her work, she explores themes related to women's identity and beauty standards. She works with photography, performance and painting.
