About Josh Aronson

Josh Aronson (b. Toronto, Canada, 1994) is an artist and photographer based in Miami, Florida. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Northwestern University. His work explores how masculinity, youth, and identity are performed in the Southern landscape.

Institutional exhibition highlights include the survey exhibitions Currents at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Louisiana (2024-2025), Art Through the Lens at the Yeiser Art Center, Kentucky (2025), and Slow Exposures at The R.F. Strickland Co, Georgia (2025); Unveiling Power: Examining Influence at Green Space Miami (2024-2025); and the City of Miami Beach No Vacancy Commission (2024).

Aronson is a Summer Open Artist-in-Residence at the Bakehouse Art Complex in Miami. Recent artist-led public programs include Photo Book Speed Date (2025) at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Aronson was a 2025 Creative Residency Fellow at The Hambidge Center, Georgia and a 2024 Peyton Evans Artist-in-Residence at The Studios of Key West, Florida.
