Marina Black initially pursued studies in history and painting, and her photography seamlessly integrates her background into creating a surreal universe where fiction intertwines with reality to delve into themes of memory, culture, and the subconscious. She earned an MFA from York University in Canada. She was a featured exhibitor at the FOTOFEST photography festival in Houston, USA; the CONTACT Photography Festival in Toronto, Canada. Her work has been published in The Best Of LensCulture Vol. 3; Eyemazing Susan Vol.II; FOSSILS OF LIGHT + TIME and is included in the public collections of the Heritage Municipal Museum of Malaga, Spain; the Alliance Francaise in Canada; and the IZOLYATSIA non-governmental arts foundation, Ukraine.
Marina's work is represented by Galerie VU' in France, Lumina gallery in Norway.
