About Chervine Dalaeli

Chervine was born in Tehran and grew up in Paris before settling in New York. A self-taught photographer, he is devoted to capturing urban scenes and everyday moments in a cinematic chiaroscuro.
Working exclusively with natural light, he avoids staging, cropping, or retouching, preserving the integrity of each instant.
His photographs have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Paris, Geneva, New York, Miami, and Venice — including Paris Photo, Photo London, Photo Basel, and AIPAD in New York. He is represented by Galerie Esther Woerdehoff in Paris and Geneva. His work has appeared in publications such as Marie Claire Italy, Libération, and The Eye of Photography, and has been recognized with honors including the reFocus World Photo Annual People’s Vote Award (2024, 2025) and a Silver Award (2025).
In 2025 his first photo book, The Shape of Color, will be published by Snap Collective, bringing together a decade of work exploring how color moves through fleeting urban moments.
