LensCulture Art Photography Awards 2026

Michael Famighetti is the Editor of Aperture magazine. In 2013, he organized a relaunch and reconceptualization of the publication, which won a 2018 National Magazine Award for General Excellence. He is the recipient, with guest editor Sarah Lewis, of the ICP Infinity Award for Critical Writing and Research for “Vision & Justice,” the summer 2016 issue of Aperture.

In addition to editing the magazine, Famighetti commissions and edits books for the Aperture Foundation, including volumes by William Christenberry, Robert Adams, John Divola, Jonas Bendiksen, Kwame Brathwaite and Joel Meyerowitz, among others. He is currently a visiting critic at the Yale University School of Art and a participant in SVA’s Mentors program.

His writing has appeared in Frieze, Bookforum and Aperture, among other publications. He is a member of the American Society of Magazine Editors and has been a guest reviewer and speaker at many international festivals and institutions, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; The New York Times; Vogue Italia; FOAM, Amsterdam; the Art Gallery of Ontario; the Bamako Biennial, Mali; Kyotographie, Kyoto; Museet for Fotokunst, Odense, Denmark; and Fotografiska, Stockholm.

Rebecca Morse is Curator in the Wallis Annenberg Photography Department at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Recent projects include Objects of Desire: Photography and the Language of Advertising, Barbara Kruger: Thinking of You I Mean Me I Mean You, Thomas Joshua Cooper: The World’s Edge, Sarah Charlesworth: Doubleworld, and Larry Sultan: Here and Home. She was previously Associate Curator at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) where she organized Amanda Ross Ho: Teeny Tiny Woman, Cai Guo-Qiang: Ladder to the Sky, Rodarte: States of Matter, The Artist’s Museum, and Florian Maier-Aichen. Upcoming projects include an exhibition around the work of American photographer Laura Gilpin.

Mick Moore is the CEO and Creative Director of British Journal of Photography, the world’s longest-running photography title. British Journal of Photography has been showcasing pioneers of the art form since 1854. Mick has spent over twenty years developing BJP’s visual signature.

Jessica Jarl is the Global Director of Exhibitions at Fotografiska. She joined the museum in 2013 and, together with her colleagues, leads the curatorial development, design, and production of exhibitions across Fotografiska’s locations in Stockholm, Berlin, Tallinn, and Shanghai.

Working closely with artists, gallerists, and cultural partners worldwide, she curates exhibitions that explore photography as a space for dialogue, diversity, and shared experience.

Jessica has produced and curated numerous exhibitions with international artists, including Andres Serrano, Anja Niemi, Scarlett Hooft Graafland, Cho Gi-Seok, Josèfa Ntjam, Alex Prager, Rinko Kawauchi, and Andy Warhol, among others.

She holds a BA in Art History from Stockholm University and has a background in theatre and cultural production.

Jen Tse is the Community Manager for the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative, working to accelerate universal adoption of the C2PA standard of Content Credentials through advocacy, education, community partnerships and programming, and editorial content. She has over a decade of experience in photojournalism, most recently as a Sr. Photo Editor at National Geographic and previously as an acting Director of Photography at Newsweek. In 2018, she was awarded the NPPA's Magazine Picture Editor of the Year award. In 2022, she was one of 33 selected out of hundreds to participate in Poynter's Leadership Academy for Women in Media.

Born in Cortona in 1981, after years spent taking photographs Antonio decided to turn a dream into a real project; and so, in 2011, Cortona On The Move was born, an international festival of photography and visual narrative created together with a group of friends. In ten years Cortona On The Move has become one of Europe’s most important photography festivals. Antonio is currently deputy director at the Gallerie d'Italia in Turin, situated in Piazza San Carlo: Intesa Sanpaolo's fourth museum alongside those of Milan, Naples and Vicenza. An exhibition space dedicated to photography covering 9,000 m2 in Palazzo Turinetti, right in the heart of Turin.

Eugenia Macías teaches at Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia (ENAH-INAH) and is a Level 1 member of the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII). She studied art restoration at the Escuela Nacional de Conservación y Restauración (ENCRyM-INAH). She holds a master’s degree in social anthropology from the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS) and a doctorate in art history from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She specializes in visual anthropology, photography, artistic archives, and 20th century art in Mexico and has curated exhibitions by Héctor García, Enrique Bostelmann, Fernando González Gortázar, Alfredo Zalce, Mariana Yampolsky and Elsa Medina among others. She has worked at the Museo de Arte Moderno-INBAL and the Centro de Documentación Arkheia (MUAC-UNAM) in Mexico City, at the UNAM Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores in Morelia, and the Escuela de Conservación y Restauración de Occidente in Guadalajara.

In 2000, she received the INAH Paul Coremans Award. In 2008, she was granted the American Museum of Natural History (N.Y. USA) Richard Gilder support to study the Museum’s Lumholtz collection. She was also bestowed the Southwest Book Award for co-authoring a book on Carl Lumholtz, published by the University of Texas in 2015. In 2018 and 2023 she earned the support of Iberarchivos, Spain, for a project concerning the Centro de Documentación Arkheia (MUAC-UNAM, Mexico).
