LensCulture Art Photography Awards 2026

The LensCulture Art Photography Awards 2026 celebrate visionary image-makers who work with photography and photographic practices to create stunning new works of art. We welcome photographers and artists from every corner of the world to share work that surprises, challenges, delights, or expands our appreciation of the photographic medium.

There are no strict rules for this award. We’re excited to see every kind of creative approach — from conceptual and experimental projects, to prints made for gallery walls, to analog materials, montage, cameraless techniques, and new forms. If your work pushes boundaries, invents its own language, or blends photography with other media, this competition is for you.

What matters most is your unique vision — and the mastery with which you bring that vision to life.

Winners will be exhibited in New York during The Photography Show, celebrated online in LensCulture, featured in international press, awarded cash prizes, and gain access to powerful career-boosting opportunities. Read on to meet our international jury and learn how to enter.

We’re eager to discover new voices in art photography — and we warmly invite you to participate in our global community of creative thinkers, makers and photography lovers.

Success Stories

For 20 years, LensCulture has been committed to supporting photographers of all levels move forward creatively and professionally. In that time, we have heard from hundreds of photographers who were able to achieve breakthroughs in their careers through participation in the LensCulture community.

“After winning the LensCulture Art Photography Awards 2021, my work has been exhibited extensively in both solo and group exhibitions, and published in media outlets and art magazines around the world. I had the pleasure to have my work exhibited in Tokyo (August 2022), Belfast (March 2022), France (March 2023), Portugal (September 2022), Spain (June 2022), Australia (April 2022), and Greece (until December 2023). The year after the award, I published the work as my first monograph by GOST Books (London 2022) which was later on featured on TIME’s “20 Best Photobooks for 2022”.

I am very grateful for all the opportunities I have been given. Creating this momentum around my work by sharing it with diverse audiences and learning from curating and publishing it on different spaces and platforms have positively impacted my art and has, in turn, changed my way of thinking about my practice forever.”
Ioanna Sakellaraki
Winner, Art Photography Awards 2021
“Winning the Art Photography Awards was such a wonderful affirmation and encouragement for my art practice: I was a feature exhibitor at HeadOn Photo Festival, was interviewed in Lenscratch Magazine, and won a major art prize in an Australian photo competition. It gave me the confidence to continue creating work outside of traditional photographic image-making; pushing the experimental nature of my work.”
Arrayah Loynd
Winner, Art Photography Awards 2023
“Since winning the Art Photography Award, my work has been exposed to an entirely new audience. I’ve been published in magazines, on websites, and I’ve been invited to participate in exhibitions. The award made me more confident in my practice and led me to trust my developmental processes. I’m currently working on my solo exhibition here in Nigeria.”
