About Christian Vium

Christian Vium is a photographer, filmmaker and anthropologist, primarily working on long-term personal projects anchored in participatory observation and in-depth collaboration. He is currently employed as a Post Doctoral Fellow in visual anthropology, as part of the research project 'Camera as Cultural Critique' at Aarhus University.

His work has been awarded among others the Juror's Prize at the Center Santa Fe (2013), 1st prize of the Anthropographia Award for Human Rights (2011), The Basil Wright Film Prize by the Royal Anthropological Institute (2011); 2nd place in the Deeper Perspective Award at the International Photography Awards (2009), The Canon Explorer of Light Award at the PDN Photo Annual (2008) and the Grand Prix du Paris Match Étudiant (2007).

Christian Vium is part of FOAM Talents 2015.
