Katerina Kaloudi

The book accompanies the exhibition of the same name, which was held from October 10, 2013 to January 5, 2014 at the Piraios Street Annexe. It includes almost 300 photographs selected for their aesthetic interest and grouped chronologically. The photographic material is accompanied by an introductory text by Heracles Papaioannou and an historical “portrait” of the Greek islands, compiled by historian Spyros Asdrachas. Extensive texts by exhibition curators Fanny Konstantinou, Aliki Tsirgialou and Kostis Antoniadis introduce each module, evaluating the material as to its era and the evolution of photography.
