Photo London marks its 10th anniversary this year, once again gathering the world’s leading galleries and artists to present the best of photography and explore the medium’s future possibilities.

The Fair fills the sprawling, multilevel Somerset House from 15-18 May 2025 (VIP opening 14 May). We’re delighted to share a preview here of some of the work we are especially eager to see this year.

INTERNATIONAL GALLERIES, BOOK MARKET, PUBLIC TALKS & SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

In addition to the work shown by more than 100 international exhibitors, there is an excellent array of photobooks and zines presented by large and small publishers, and plenty of book signing events at the Book Market.

The Talks Program offers the opportunity to hear some of the mediums leading artists talking about their work (be sure to book in advance, since they always sell out).

We always look forward to the Photo London Discovery section. Curator Charlotte Jansen says: “The Discovery section at Photo London has always been, for me, the most exciting area of the Fair. As the name implies, it’s where you might find things that you’ve never seen before, which is quite a rarity these days, given our image-saturated culture. I am excited to see a sharp shift away from portraiture towards semi-abstraction and abstraction across many booths this year and to witness the ways contemporary artists are using the camera in a painterly way, like a brush, with captivating results.”

LENSCULTURE GROUP EXHIBITION

LensCulture returns to Photo London (we’ve showcased photographers at Photo London since the very first fair, 10 years ago). This year features a group exhibition of 68 photographers from 24 countries — presenting a global snapshot of the diverse ways the visual language of photography is used in cultures around the world. Additionally, 34 photographers recognized by the Critics’ Choice Awards will be shown in a continuous digital slideshow. There is lots to discover, and many of the award-winning photographers will be present at our Friday evening reception, 16 May from 6pm to 8 pm. We hope to see you there!
